Chris Kael five finger death punch fitness interview

Chris Kael bassist of Five Finger Death Punch is proof that strength is built through discipline, recovery and radical self-awareness.

In this interview, Chris breaks down how training, walking, sobriety and mental health practices keep him grounded both on and off tour.

From heavy deadlifts to his ‘namaslay’ mantra, Chris shares what it really takes to perform at a high level in your 40s and 50s… without burning out.

Consistency over Intensity

Chris trains in Las Vegas and has shifted his mindset from chasing extremes to prioritizing longevity.

Walking has become one of the biggest changes in his routine, often hitting 10-12,000 steps per day.

Instead of spending hours on the couch, Chris throws on headphones, gets sunlight, and stays active.

This lifestyle has helped him drop pounds, without extreme dieting.

Lifting weights is Non-Negotiable

Lifting weights is Chris’s foundation.

His weekly split includes heavy squats, bench press and deadlifts.

He says “I didn’t realize I was a meathead until I started lifting and seeing the numbers go up.”

Chris also shares his top favorite and least favorite exercise in the interview.
